Peter Jackson has done a very good job here of story telling. There is something here for everyone even if you hate action movies and I was suprised by the movies heart. Like "Titanic" we all know how this ends, what's better is how effective the ending is despite you knowing what's coming. The ending would not have worked were it not for the solid story and acting-this adds up to more than a popcorn film. Personaly, I'm kind of tired of CGI and while it started to get on my nerves, I loved Kong! At times I had to remind myself this was a CGI character. This is a long film, but it doesn't feel like the 3 hours that it is despite some slow moments. Good for all in the family. If you cry easily, fear not because you will have plenty of company.
