'kong' is mezmerizing - King Kong Reviews
More than a remake, Peter Jackson's KING KONG is a re-telling of a classic story updated for today's audiences. Much the way BATMAN BEGINS used very precise and logical dialogue to explain certain nuances of that film's hero, Jackson totally envelopes us into the time period to make us believe. When we see the Great Depression in its heyday, of course we believe in every character's passion for finding a way out of poverty. The New York City sequences are truly Norman Rockwell-esque. But it is the fight scences between Kong and the T-rex's that will last with most viewers. This is truly remarkable entertainment!
