I am not a PJ fan. I hate him with every particle of my body for no other reason than because I can. Before viewing the film, I thought the Executives at Universial idiots for allowing the movie to be 3 hours and 7 minutes long, thinking that Jackson may have put pressure on for any number of reasons. However, after I viewed the film, it is very clear to me on many different levels that this is one of the best films of the year. This is a money-maker and a Oscar-winner. It is better than the first Kong. It may be long but watchin it is like a kid squeezing a orange to get every drop of sweet juice out on a very hot day. I could go into a very detailed and long essay of film analysis, but there is no way to accuratly articulate the feeling that one gets from this film. Those who are fans will not be disapointed. Those who are not fans will be unintentionally impressed. It is as simple as that.
