Preposterous love story. - King Kong Reviews

I'm reading so many great reviews of this movie, I'm left wondering if I'm just crazy...but I could not get past the ridiculous love story between the woman and the ape. "Don't hurt the beast, he's only murdering hundreds of people in order to kidnap me! and I can respect that!" Are the apes attributes ones women look for in men? Also, I did not like most of the fighting scenes, especially when the dinosaurs were stampeding and quite a number of characters manage to avoid being smushed by the herd. Lastly, Jack Black does NOT work as the money-hording villian at all. -Merely what I thought of the movie
